US WW1 Era, "A" Company, Machine Gun Battalion, 42nd Division Uniform

This is an "A" Company, 42nd Division (Rainbow Division) uniform. There is not a mark on the disk to indicate as to which battalion of the 42nd Division this soldier belonged. The 149th, 150th and 151st Machine Gun Battalions all served under the 42nd. Of particular interest to me is the 151st MG BN which was largely recruited out of Macon, Georgia.

Above: Close up of the 42nd Division Patch and the Discharge Stripe.

The Machine Gun Battalion, "A" Company Disk can also be seen on the collar.

Above: Two veiws of the Machine Gun Battalion Tunic.

The lower left side sleeve has three Overseas Stripes for Combat service.
