US WW1 Era, "C" Battery, 113th Field Artillery, 30th Division Tunic

This is a "C" Battery, 113th Field Artillery, 30th Division (Old Hickory) tunic. There is not a 113th mark to the piece but the former owner understood it to be from a veteran of the 113th Field Artillery, North Carolina National Guard

The tunic is apparently First Sergeant J.J. Carroll's, from Clayton County, N.C. He is listed as the "C" Battery First Sergeant in this photograph (Bottom Left seated). In reference to the title of the photograph, “Top” is the soldier’s nick name for first sergeant
